Mr. Elton L. Harkness, age 62, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025.  Born in Fountain Inn, SC, he was a son of the late James Ellis Harkness and Flossie Ree Henry Harkness.  He is survived by one son, Joshua (Shantell Smith) Harkness; one daughter, Dr. JaQuinda (Gavin) Jackson; one brother, Lee Earl Kennedy, one sister, Loretta Harkness and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with Reverend S.N. Flint officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body will be placed in the church Thursday, 3, 2025 at 10 a.m. for public vieiwng.
