Mrs. Ella Cook Jackson, age 79 of 123 New Castle Place Simpsonville, SC, died Monday, April 6, 2015. Born a daughter of the late Felix Cook, Sr., and the late Gussie Gertrude Thomason Cook. She was a member of the Reedy Fork Baptist Church and a retired employee of the F. W. Woolworth Co. She is survived by her husband, Columbus Jackson of the home; two sons, Darnell Flemming and Ronald D. Flemming both of Simpsonville, SC; one step-son, Travis Jackson of Greenville, SC; three daughters, Lucille Gillam of Piedmont, SC, Genora Flemming of Simpsonville, and Venus Shaw of Greenville; two step-daughters, Barbara Bonaparte of Piedmont, SC and Jacqueline Jackson of Simpsonville, SC; three brothers, John H. Cook, Alfred Cook and Roy Cook all of Simpsonville, SC; three sisters, Shellie Garrett, Mamie L. Grayden and Linda Bobo all of Simpsonville, SC; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1pm Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the Reedy Fork Baptist Church, with Dr. T. E. Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Beasley Funeral Home Greenville is in charge of arrangements. The family is at the residence.
