Mr. Elijah James Mackey Sr., age 36, departed this life on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, a son of Jacqueline Feaster and the late James Ted Mackey. He attended the public schools of Greenville County and graduated from Southside High School, after graduation he furthered his studies in Advance Automotive Repairs at Greenville Technical College. To cherish many fond memories his devoted wife, Dayartae Abercrombie Mackey, a daughter, Kennedi Mackey and two sons, Kamron James Mackey and Tyshawn James Mackey of the home; his parents, Jacqueline (Edwain) Glenn; three sisters, Nicole (Derrick) Wardell, Rudy Glenn, and Rena Glenn all of Greenville, South Carolina.

Celebrating his life and legacy will be at 4pm, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in the Chapel of Beasley Funeral Home Greenville. Public viewing will be on Monday from 10am-6pm in the chapel. Interment will be private.
