Mr. Eddie Ballenger, age 72, of 301 Fairmont Drive, Greenville, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Magnolia Manor Nursing Home, Greenville.A son of the late Eligah Ballenger and Catherine Tinsley Ballenger, he was a member of the Mill Rock Baptist Church, Gray Court and former employee of the City of Greenville Public Works.He is survived by his companion, Freddie Holland of the home; one son, Randy James of Lyman; six daughters, Robin (Gary) Salters of Taylors, Jacqueline (Garfield) Lyons and April King of Fayetteville, NC, Sharon Farmer, Pamela Ballenger, Lajuana Ballenger of Spartanburg; three brothers, Gussie Ballenger of Duncan, Alfred Ballenger of Spartanburg, James Ballenger of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Julia Mae Robinson of Duncan, Willie Mae Glenn of Wellford; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.Funeralwill be held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Mill Rock Baptist Church, with Rev. Carlton Austin officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The family is at the home.
