TSG USAF Donald J. Sampson, Jr. of Durham North Carolina, made his transition on Monday, December 1, 2025. Born July 21,1951 in Greenville, South Carolina, a son of the late Attorney Donald J. Sampson, Sr., and LaBarbara Powell Sampson. He was educated in the public schools of Greenville County and a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War, where he received an honorable discharge and later retired from the USAF with twenty years of service.

He's survived by his four children, Brock Akheem, Jereme Brent, Brett Benjamin and Brandalynn LaPorcia, also his former wife and mother of his children, Toni; two daughters-in-law, Naomi and Eida, and son-in-law, Irvin; three grandchildren, Brenda, Joseph and Ravi; siblings LaBarbara Sampson Jr., and Craig Powell.

Home Going Services are scheduled for 12N, Thursday December 18, 2025, at Beasley Funeral Home Chapel Greenville. Interment will immediately follow in M J "Dolly" Cooper Veteran Cemetery with military honors.
