Mr. Derrick James Brown, age 61, of 115 Chenoweth Drive, Simpsonville, died Thursday, August 24, 2017 at his home. Born in Greenville, he was a son of Geneva Redmond Brown and the late James Brown, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Jamaica S. Brown of the home; one son, Brandon Brown of the home; one brother, Dwayne GarlanBrownof Simpsonville; one sister, Jayma Kemika (Kem) Mattison of Greenville and a god sister, Shundra Hamer of Greenville. The family is at the home. FuneralService will be held 11 am, Wedenesday,August 30, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. Phillip M. Baldwin officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the churchcemetery. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
