Ms. DeEthel Hicks, age 87, of 785 Jones Road, Fountain Inn, SC, transitioned on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Hillcrest Hospital, Simpsonville, SC. Born in Laurens County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Robert Devoe Sullivan and Elizabeth Irby Sullivan. She is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline (Teddi) Whaley of Columbia, SC, Gwendolyn Hicks of the home and Veronica (Gerald) Stewart of Mauldin; one brother, Albert (Jessie) Sullivan of Mauldin; one sister, Carolyn (Lewis) Wilson of Taylors; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

There will be NO PUBLIC VIEWING for Ms. DeEthel Hicks.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Mt. Z ion Baptist Church, Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Burial will immediately follow service in the church cemetery.
