Mr. Joel Nathaniel Brockman, Jr.

Mr. Joel Nathaniel Brockman, Jr., age 78, of Mauldin, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Born on August 4, 1947, he was the son of the late Reverend Joel Nathaniel Brockman, Sr. and Mrs. Thomasena Bates Brockman.

Mr. Brockman was educated in the Greenville County Public School System and was a 1964 graduate of Bryson High School in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Following high school, he attended Johnson C. Smith University, where he earned a degree in Economics and Accounting as a member of the Class of 1968.

Although there were no biological children born to this union, Mr. Brockman was a father figure to many, offering guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support throughout his life.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Henrietta Brockman; nephews reared as sons, Keith R. (Ladonna) Johnson, M.D., of Waycross, Georgia, Kevin R. (Shawanna) Johnson, Esquire, of Alexandria, Virginia, William D. (Shirkisha) Johnson of Piedmont, South Carolina, and Steven R. (Lakeshia) Johnson of Mauldin, South Carolina;  Eric Duncan of Atlanta, GA; a niece reared as a daughter, Annie Inez McGee (Stanley Allen) of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; one sister, Iris Ann Brownlee of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one brother, Thomas Edward Brockman of Simpsonville, South Carolina; along with a host of loving grandchildren, including 18 grandchildren and 22 bonus grandchildren, and many other relatives and dear friends.
