Saturday
Lowndes Hill Baptist Church
Starts at 1:00 pm
Danang Curtis Brockman, born April 29, 1967, was the beloved son of Ella Grace Brockman and the late Roy "Cecil" Brockman. He peacefully departed this life on August 9, 2026, at home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Danang attended Greenville County Schools and graduated from J.L. Mann High School as a member of the Class of 1985. During his school years, he was an avid athlete who enjoyed playing both baseball and football.
Following graduation, Danang proudly served his country in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm and the Gulf War. While serving, he was a trained sharpshooter and held the distinguished responsibility of driving the Sergeant Major and Colonel Majeski. His military service reflected the dedication, discipline, and commitment that characterized his life.
Beyond his service, Danang will always be remembered for his love of music, his creativity in crafting and enjoying a wide variety of sandwiches, and for carrying on the family's treasured secret recipe for "The Ribs." He brought laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories to those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Curtis "Cecil" Brockman, and his brother, Rickey Brockman.
Danang's legacy of love continues through his devoted wife, Leslia LaShun Brockman; his daughters, Shaleese Victoria Brockman (Reginald) and Lyneisha "Nina" D'nea Brockman; his brother, Cedric Brockman(Claudia); his sisters, Tammy Brockman and Deborah Downs, and sister-in-law, Deborah Brockman; and his cherished grandchildren, Khamil Barton, Gabrielle Greggs, Reginald "RJ" Greggs, and Jordan Greggs. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Though he is no longer with us in body, Danang's strength, love, laughter, and devotion to family will remain forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
