Miss Clemigene Irby, age 65, of 95 South Lucas Street, Laurens, SC, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at her home. A daughter of the late Charles Irby and the late Sue Pearl Neely Irby, she attended the public schools in Laurens County, former Lead Teacher and Counselor with the Laurens Disability and Special Need Board, and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Angela Irby of Laurens, SC; one brother, Henry Irby of Laurens, SC; two sisters, Lois Coleman of Laurens, SC and Mamie C. (Willie) Wells of Columbus, GA; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Hopewell Baptist Church, with Rev. C. Lamont Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens is in charge of arrangements.
