Reverend Charles Makins, age 86, formerly of Simpsonville, died Friday, January 10, 2020at Oakbrook Health and Rehab in Summerville, SC. Born in Waterloo, he was a son of the late Tommy Makins and Willie Mae Cunningham Makins. He is survived by his wife, Gracie Makins; one son, Carlton Makins; three daughters, Janet Hughes, Charvette Webb and Vicky Elaine Makins; two stepdaughters, Cynthia Sweeney and Geraldin L. Riley; two brothers, Marion Makins and William Makins; four sisters, Louise McDaniel, Juanita Richard, Shirley Richard and Helen Barksdale; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Burial be in Graceland East Memorial Park. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Beasley Funeral Home, Greenville.
