Mr. Charles Edward Jackson, age 80, of 4277 Mountville Road, Mountville, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Laurens County Hospital. Born in Houston County, Alabama, a son of Leonard Jackson and Larsie Hartfield Jackson, he was a former employee of Presbyterian Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Bessie L. Grant Jackson of the home; two daughters, Annette Jackson of Spartanburg and Charlene J. (Louwellen) Blakely of North, New Jersey; three sisters, Lucinda Edwards of Ashford, Alabama, Della Mae Plowden of New York, New York and Geraldine Wilson of Bainbridge, GA; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the St. Johns Baptist Church, with Rev. Donnie Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens is in charge of arrangements.
