Ms. Carrie Ruth Jennings, age 80, of 111 Morton Avenue, Simpsonville passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on May 26, 1942 in Laurens County, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Sullivan Thomas, Sr. and Sarah Jennings Thomas, and later became wife of the late Johnny C Jennings. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Vance, Shirly Hunter, and Delores (O'neal) Sullivan; five sons, Willie James (Angela) Jennings, Joe Nathan Jennings, Johnny Jennings Jr., Richard Calvin (Yalonda) Jennings, and Michael Jennings; two sisters, Dorothy Ann Hellams and Sadie (Bernard) Perrett; six brothers, James Thomas, Leroy Thomas, Johnny Lee (Linda) Thomas, Sullivan (Bessie) Thomas Jr., Bobby Lewis Thomas, Nathaniel (Rachel) Thomas; a special cousin/sister, Nancy Ree Barksdale; three sisters in laws, Rhodia Thomas, Elaine Thomas, and Mary Ethel Thomas; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Public Viewing for Ms. Jennings will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 12 Noon to 6:00 pm at Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn.
