Deacon Emeritus Carlton Edward Griffin, age 78, of 1562 Davenport Road, Simpsonville, South Carolina, died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Fountain Inn, South Carolina , he was a son of the late James Edwin Griffin and Sarah Durham Griffin. He is survived by his wife, Margaret B. Griffin; three sons, Carlton (Denise) Griffin, Deacon Raymond Griffin and Deacon Brian (Gina) Griffin; one daughter, Sophia (James) Hamilton Jr.; one sister, Dorothy G. Seawright; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sister In-laws, Jackie Griffin, and Mildred Griffin; three brother In-laws, Bobby Pitts, Joe Pitts, and Jerome (Joyce) Pitts.
