Mrs. Betty K. Sweeney, age 72, of 20 Sweeney Creek Court, Simpsonville, SC, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Cornell Kilgore, Sr. and Nannie Mae Agnew Kilgore.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Sweeney; three daughters, Lisa (Jerry) Wright, Kecia (Eddie) Smith and Shaylla (Renard) Duncan; one son, Randy (Pam) McCullough; one sister, Mamie (Will) Dendy; three brothers, Robert (Barbara) Kilgore, Bennie (Angela) Kilgore and Willie Kilgore; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Rocky Creek Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Adrian Wideman and Reverend Willie J. Choice officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
