Ms. Betty Jean Rice, age 83, of League Road, Gray Court, South Carolina, in the Ora Community passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2022 at her home. She is survived by one son, William A. Rice; four grandchildren, Aaron R. Roberson, Christopher O. Roberson, Glenda Rice and LaToya (Vance) Whitlock; five great- grandchildren; four sisters, Rosa Pryor, Dorothy (Burnell) Byrd, Emma (Henry C.) Dawkins and Rev. Gladys (James) Nance; one brother, Roy (Debra) Byrd; two sisters in law Mary Byrd, and Lillie Ruth Byrd.

Funeral services for Ms. Betty Jean Rice will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, November 26, 2022,at the Duncan Creek Baptist Church in Laurens, with Reverend Derrick Barksdale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at home.
