Obituary

Mrs. Betty Lou Cleveland Milam was born January 4, 1941, in Laurens, SC, She was the daughter of Margie Latimore Cleveland and Sammie Cleveland. She was a graduate of Sanders High School class of 1960, and wife of the late Ludie Milam . She was employed by Monsanto of Greenwood, and was a beautiful loving spirit that always loved to serve her community. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Laurens and Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Simpsonville where she was a member of the Usher Board and Missionary staff. She also was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and worked with Beasley Funeral Home in her latter years. She departed from us on August 2, 2022 at The Landing Home Care in Griffin, GA. She leaves behind a daughter Janice (James) Walker, a son O'Neil (Leah) Milam, three sisters: Alice Myers, Elizabeth Evans (deceased), Bobby Hallett (deceased) and brother, Robert Cleveland; two grandsons McKenzia Little and Chavez Milam and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Betty Lou Cleveland Milam will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Poplar Spring Baptist Church, 290 Springdale Drive, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
