Mrs. Betty Jean Laster, age 79, of 113 Reedy Acres Drive, Simpsonville, SC, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024.  Born in Greenville County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charles Black and Leonathy Brock Black.

She is survived by two sons, Robert T. (Annie Pearl) Laster and Bennie (Tansy) Laster; one daughter, Vanessa (Kenneth) Robinson; two brothers, John (Hattie B.) Brock and Reverend Richard Allen Black; two sisters, Frankie Black and Teresa Evans; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2024 at Reedy Fork Baptist Church, with Reverend T.E. Simmons officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
