Mrs. Bessie L. Young, age 80, of 500 Bryson Drive, Simpsonville, SC, entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, July 8, 2022. Born in Pelzer, SC, she was a daughter of Willie Mae Golden Meekins and the late James Woodrow Meekins, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Young of the home; one son, Tracy Bernard (Twanda) Young; one daughter, Lisa RoBretta (Rev. Troy) Gaffney; her mother, Willie Mae Meekins; one brother, James Woodrow Meekins, Jr.; four sisters, Janie Etta Meekins Jefferson, Georgia Ann (Leon) Meekins Johnson, Annie Ruth (Leon) Meekins Riggins and Linda Faye Meekins Kinlaw and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Fountain Inn, with Rev. S.N. Flint and Dr. S.B. Neely officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mask are required for entry into the church. Public viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at the church. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
