Mrs. Bertha Lee Tucker, age86 of 306 Kenmore Drive Piedmont, South Carolina died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Heartland West Health Care Center. Born in Laurens, South Carolina a daughter of the Curtis Davis and Maggie McIntosh and the wife of the late Johnny Tucker, she was a dedicated former employee of Mount Vernon Mills and a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and supported its various ministries. She is survived by two sons, James (Ella)Tucker of Laurens, South Carolina and Michael Tucker of Honea Path, South Carolina; two daughters, Johnnie (James) Waldrop of Piedmont, South Carolina and Marian Cox of Greenville, South Carolina; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, January 21, 2017 at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Rev. O. L. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
