Mrs. Barbara Jean Boyd, age 71, of 505 Hellams Street, Fountain Inn, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026.  Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Iris Leake Terry and James Terry, Sr. and wife of Billy Boyd.

She attended the public schools of Greenville County graduating from Hillcrest High School in 1973.  She was a faithful member of Golden View Baptist Church and served as the Church Secretary for more than forty years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Alisha Johnson.

She leaves to cherish memories her husband of forty-three years, Billy Boyd; one brother, James Terry, Jr.; four sisters, Cathy (Aaron) Lee, Janice Rice, Nikki Logan and Kimberly Johnson; her best friend, Elaine Powers; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Golden View Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park, Fountain Inn.
