Mrs. Alberta Wheeler Horton, age 87, of 116 Garlington Street, Apt. #C-18, Laurens, died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her home. A daughter of the late Mancy Wheeler and Fannie Leake Wheeler, she was a former employee of the Orchard Inn and a member of the St. Vaughnville Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Lillie K. Wheeler Henson of the home; one grandchild, Andre Wilson of Greenville and one great grandchild Jace Andre Anderson of Greenville. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the St. Vaughnville Baptist Church, with Rev. Ray Pilgrim and Rev. Thomas Dendy officiating. Burial will be in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens is in charge of arrangements.
