Mrs. Agnes Chappell Gilliard, the fifth child of the late Robert Lee and Eva Mae Chappell, was born July 4, 1950 in Jeffersonville, Georgia. She made her peaceful transition from earth to glory in the early morning hour on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at her home with her husband by her side. She leaves to cherish her life through fond memories, her husband of fifty years, Nathaniel "Dan" Gilliard; ten sisters, Geneva C. Brice (Charlie), Berthalee C. Jackson (Jack), Ida Mae Howard (Chester), Mattie Chappell, Deliah C. Davis (Eric), Joyce Elaine C. Johnson (Tony), all of Macon, Georgia, Joe Ann Lindsey (Ulysses) of Ellenwood, Georgia,

Dorothy Mae Montgomery (Clarence) of Stockbridge, Georgia, Geraldine C. Fort (Stacey), of Rex, Georgia, Bessie Mae C. Potter (Eric) of Englewood, New Jersey; five brothers, Robert Lee Chappell (Beretta), Tony Johnny O'Neal Chappell (Brandi), of Macon, Georgia, Calvin B. Chappell of Atlanta, Georgia, Fredrick Chappell (Bernadette) of Sierra Vista, AZ, James Lewis Chappell (Tamera) of Warner Robins, Georgia; a cherished niece and goddaughter, Felicia Potter; one uncle and aunt, Eddie and Corliss Middleton; three brothers-in-law, Bishop Leroy Gilliard (Christine), Harold "Perry" Gilliard (Connie), and Jimmy "Pewee" Gilliard all of Baltimore, Maryland; four sisters-in-law, Sinobia Gilliard of Bronx, New York, Evangelist Ynetha Plummer of Baltimore, Maryland, Dorothy Ann Gilliard of Sumter, South Carolina, and Patsy "Toni" Watley (Ernie) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be conducted 1 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2023 at Beasley Funeral Home Chapel-Greenville.

Interment will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens Cemetery
