Ms. Addell Simon, age 80 of Fountain Inn, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022 in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Born in Lee County, South Carolina she was a daughter of the late Marion McKenzie and Annie Lee Bennett McKenzie. She is survived by: two sons, Francis Favor of Atlanta, Georgia and Samuel (Shira) Simon, Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina; three daughters, Judith (Ernie) McCollum of Camden, South Carolina, Delisa Dawkins of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Marilyn Denise (Michael) Bridges of Spartanburg, South Carolina; the love of her life, Samuel Simon, Sr. of Greenville, South Carolina; siblings, Tyrone McKenzie of Rembert, South Carolina, Edward Jenkins of Washington, D.C., Samuel (Linda) Sessions of Central, South Carolina, Robert (Carmen) McKenzie of Piedmont, South Carolina, Thomas (Bertha) Lewis of Columbia, South Carolina, and Marion (Pam) Rufus of Florence, South Carolina, Bertha Mae McKenzie, of Camden, South Carolina, Johnnie Mae McKenzie of Rembert, South Carolina, Roberta (Edward) Johnson of Bishopville, South Carolina, Luvenia (Richard) Dix of Bishopville, South Carolina ; one Aunt, Sally Mae Austin of Rembert, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and host of relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Ms. Simon will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, May 31st,2022 at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, 403 Pollard Road, Simpsonville with Pastor Dennis Smith officiating.
Public Viewings will be held Monday, May 30th, 2022 from 12 Noon until 6:00pm, at Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn: 205 Knight Street, Fountain Inn, South Carolina. and Tuesday, May 31st from 5:00pm to 7:00pm as well as Wednesday June 1, 2022 from 11:00am -1:00pm at Nelson-Haile Funeral Home located at 919 Church Street, Camden, South Carolina.
***The family can be located and will receive friends on Monday May 30, 2022 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at 15 Heritage Oak Way, Simpsonville, SC.***
Graveside service will be open to the public and take place 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 at Union Baptist Church of Rembert Cemetery, 5840 Springhill Rd., Rembert, SC.
