Mr. Willie Cook Grant, age 90, of 550 Watson Street, Laurens, died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Self Regional Healthcare Center, Greenwood. Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Willie Mae Cook Grant and Henry Grant and husband of the late Geneva Grant. He is survived by three sons, Johnnie R. (Lucie) Hill of Charlotte, NC, Johnny C. (Carol) Grant of Gray Court and Willie M. (Louise) Grant of Laurens; three daughters, Jennie (Billy) Richard of Cross Hill, Vera Hill and Barbara Grant, both of Laurens; one brother, James (Lillie) Grant; two sisters, Linda Kindley and Bessie (Charles) Jackson, both of Mountville; one daughter-in-law, Helen Hill; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. David Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens is in charge of arrangements.
