Mr. Thomas Andrew Sweeney, age 55, of 614 Bryson Drive, Simpsonville, SC, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital. A son of Mary Sanders Sweeney and the late Henry Charles Sweeney and husband of Inez Sweeney, he was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Simpsonville, SC. He is survived by his wife, Inez Sweeney of the home; three sons, Travis Griffin of West Virginia, Reginald Edens of Spartanburg, SC and Demarcus Sweeney of Greenville, SC; one daughter, Braylyn Sweeney of Greenville, SC; his mother, Mary S. Sweeney of Simpsonville, SC; one brother, Clarence Sweeney of Greer, SC; four sisters, Marilyn Sweeney, Claudia Sweeney Williams and Tracy Sweeney of Atlanta, Georgia and Sheri L. Sweeney of Saginaw, Michigan and one grandchild. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. A.A. Dicks, Jr.and Dr.Lonnie Rector, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn. The family is at the home.
