Mrs. Thelma W. Black Banner age 86 of 3232 W. Georgia Road Piedmont, SC died Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville County, South Carolina a daughter of the late Dave Walker and the late Bessie Henderson Walker and the wife of the John Banner. She is survived by three sons, Michael Black, Leonard Black, and James (Darlene) Black all of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Sarah Berry and Linda Goodwin both of Greenville, SC; one brother, Robert(Frances)Walker of Piedmont, SC; three sisters, Marjorie (John) Sherman of Greenville, SC, Shelby( Sam E.) Johnson of Simpsonville, SC and Daisy Jeanette Walker of Mauldin, SC; eleven grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Flat Rock Baptist Church with Dr. Christopher Scott officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Beasley Funeral Home, Greenville is in charge of arrangements. The family is at 86 N. Estate Drive Greenville, SC the home of Sarah Berry, a daughter.
