Mrs. Shirley C. Browning, age 66 of102 Misty Creek Lane Greenville, South Carolina died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Greenville South Carolina a daughter of the late Richard Canada and Florence Huff Canada and the wife of John C. Browning. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired from the New Horizon Health Services. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Anthony Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Sherita G. Adams and Lakesha Canada both of Greenville, South Carolina; five brothers, Richard Canada Jr., Nathaniel Canada both of Greenville, South Carolina, William Charles Canada of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Thomas Canada of Greenville, South Carolina and Bobby Canada of Dover, Delaware; one sister, Florence E. Looper of Greenville, South Carolina;three grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Jessie Bell Browning of Woodruff, South Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Vernon (Daisy) Browning of Clinton, South Carolina and Bernard Browning of Woodruff, South Carolinas and two sisters-in-law, Jessie Mae Browning and Sherry Norman both of Woodruff, South Carolina. Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Dennis J. Smith officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial in the Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
