Ms. Miriam Toomer, age 87, of 101 Leopard Street, Laurens, died Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Hospice House of Laurens County, Clinton, SC. Born in Berkley County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Augusta Toomer and Ella Williams. She is survived by one son, Robert Thomas of Martinburg, West Virginia; one daughter, Annette Karol Workman of Laurens, SC; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the C.D. Beasley Memorial Chapel of the Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, with Dr. Bryant Cheek officiating. The family is at the home.
