Mrs. Lillie Mae Boyd, age 92, of 209 Lynn Avenue, Laurens, SC, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of Budd Tribble and Dottie Carter Tribble and wife of the late Donnell Boyd, Sr., a former employee of the Whitten Center and a member of the New China Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Donell (Shirley) Boyd, Jr. of Waterloo, SC, Joe Nell Boyd of Laurens, SC and Willie Earl Boyd of Bronx, NY; one daughter, Mary J. Dendy of Laurens, SC; one daughter-in-law, Arzelia Pyles Boyd of Clinton, SC; twenty-three and forty-six great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the C.D. Beasley Memorial Chapel of the Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, with Rev. Eugene Pulley and Rev. Richard Aiken officiating. Burial will be in the New China Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home.
