Mr. Leroy Shumate, age 92, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, died Friday, October 25, 2019 at Carlyle Senior Care, Fountain Inn. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen Rice Shumate of the home; one sister, Mary Faulk of Simpsonville; one brother, Paul (Mary) Shumate of Detroit Michigan; three sisters in- law, Lorene Stenhouse of Fountain Inn, Bernice Rice of Brooklyn, N.Y, and Judy Rice of Durham North Carolina and a host of nieces and nephews who were dear to his heart. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Reedy Fork Baptist Church with Pastor T.E. Simmons officiating. Entombment with military rites will immediately follow in Graceland East Cemetery. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
