Mrs. Hattie Louise Childress, age76, of 303 Miller Road, Apt. #805, Mauldin SC, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at her home. A daughter of the late Clinton Childress and Laura Richardson Childress she was a former employee of the Beattie Plant Woodside Mill and a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by one son; Jerry Childress of Columbia, SC; three daughters, Ernestine Knox of Greenville SC; Betty Childress and Daisy Childress of Simpsonville, SC; one sister, Alice Jean Green, of Greenville SC; eight grandchildren and; three great- grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday February 15, 2014 at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Adrian McIlwain and Dr. W.R. Davis officiating. Entombment will be in the Graceland East Cemetery. The family is at the home of a daughter, Ernestine Knox, 30 Dawnwood, Drive, Greenville, SC. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
