Chief George Ann Mills Young Hopkins, age 68, of 1321 Clarkson Drive, Hopkins, SC, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at Columbia VA Health Care System. Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Houston Mills and Vivian McDaniel Mills. She is survived by her husband, Michael Demone Hopkins of the home; three sons, John Lewis Mills of Columbia, SC, Willie Horatio (Carolyn) Young of Duncan, SC and Ibin Muhummad Adbullah Alnur of Hopkins, SC; two daughters, Vivian Xaviera Young of Greenville, SC and Fatima Abdun Alnur of Hopkins, SC; one sister, Beatrice Frances (Robert) Mills Ballenger of Mauldin, SC eleven grandchildren, Johnkese Mills, Aquarius Mills, Angel Mills, Aisha Young, Vivian Young, Shelia Young, Jasmine Young, Christopher Mulhern, Jr., Fatima Jamiah Young, Joeanna Janesia Smith, Aaliyah Abdun Moore; one great-grandchild, Kyler Mills;a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain Inn, with Rev. Willie J. Choice and Reverend Charvis Kejuan Gray officiating. Burial will be in Reedy Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
