Mr. Edward Eugene Gambrell age 69, of 49 Rosemond Drive Greenville, South Carolina died Friday, May 27, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina a son of the late Clyde Gambrell and the late Nancy Campbell Gambrell and the husband of the late Judy Ann Ferguson Gambrell. He was educated in the public schools of Greenville County, graduating from Washington High School. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps serving both active and reserve duty. He was a long distance truck driver with Southern Venue and retired in 2009 after thirty plus years of dedicated service. He is survived by three sons, Jermaine (Enjoli) Gambrell, Andre (Maneshia) Gambrell and Derrick (Avis) Gambrell all of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Tanyika Gambrell and Kenya Gambrell both of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Jane Norris, Doris Davenport and Linda Pittman all of Greenville, SC. Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Beasley Funeral home Greenville Chapel with Rev. TeVera L. Williams officiating. Burial will be in the M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military rites. The family is at 402 Stallings Road Greenville, SC the home of a daughter Kenya Gambrell.
