Mr. Cornell McDavid, age 86, of Greenville, South Carolina passed on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Born in Belton, South Carolina he was a son of the late John Frank Sloan and the late Rosie McDavid Clinkscales. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby McDavid. He is survived by four sons, Charles (Sharisah) McDavid, Larry McDavid, Michael McDavid, and Layton McDavid all of Maryland; one daughter, Vicky McDavid of Maryland; four brothers, Willie (Jean) Sloan of Simpsonville,South Carolina, Roy (Bridgette) Sloan of New Jersey, JC (Eliza) Sloan of Belton, South Carolina, and Minister Odell (Mary Ann) Sloan of Spartanburg, South Carolina; six sisters, Odessa (Elder James) Henderson of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Bobbie Jean (William) Freeman, and Catherine (Donald) Heard both of New Jersey, Lucille Red, and Lois Hartley both of Chicago, and Nana Ruth (Elmer) Suber of Greenville, South Carolina; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; and a long time friend of 48 years, Erma Brooks of San Angelo, Texas.
