Reverend Charles R. Walker, age 64, of 107 Lakeview Terrace, Simpsonville, SC, died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown, Greenville. Born in Montgomery, Louisiana, he was a son of Girtrude Douglas Walker-Pimpton and the late Thomas Walker. He was pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Greenville. He is survived by his wife, Ola Marie Walker of the home; one son, Shaztin Walker of Greenville; three daughters, Ashley Cooley, Shaunton Walker and Simone Walker all of Simpsonville; three brothers, Jerry Walker of San Diego, CA, James Watt of Houston, TX and Frank Bankston of Texas City, TX; four sisters, Evelyn (Anthony) Walton of Simpsonville, Asonya (Don) Barrett of Houston, TX, Lillian Small of Simpsonville and Jacqueline (Lawrence) Williams of Houston, TX and two grandchildren, Khairi McKeel and Chance Martin. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Reverend Phillip Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
