Mr. Brooks "B.J."� Hunter, Jr., age 88, of 2520 Boyd Road, Laurens, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his home. A son of the late Brooks Hunter, Sr. and Sallie Richie Hunter, he was a retired employee of Watts Mills. He is survived by his wife, Clara Sullivan Hunter of the home; five sons, Darrell McDaniel of Laurens, Jimmy Hunter, Donald Wayne Hunter, Billy Hunter and Billy; two daughters, Taroslynn Hunter and Lizzie Hunter; one sister, Sarah Hunter of Spartanburg; six grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Mt. Vernon AME Church, with Rev. Borbour, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens is in charge of arrangements.
